Nativity Walk:
Sign up to display one or more of your family's nativity sets! The Nativity Walk will be held indoors and will feature personal nativity sets shared by our lcm.church community. Family heirlooms, traditional, modern, handmade, and sets from other countries: each one offers a unique way to depict the birth of Jesus. The Nativity Walk was a wonderful addition to our annual event last year, and we appreciate your participation in making it special again this year!
Volunteers Opportunities:
Display Nativity Set(s) for Nativity Walk
- Set-Up: Sun, Dec. 6, between 1-4pm
- Take-Down: After the event, between 7:15-8pm
- Important: Please complete a separate form for each nativity set you plan to display. The form will be linked in your registration confirmation email.
Snack Donations
- Provide snacks for our Cast of Characters. Donations can be dropped off at LCM West anytime before the event.
Set-Up Crew | 11:30am-1pm
- Help set up the scenes, generators, luminaries, signage, and other event needs.
Cast of Characters
- Dress in costume as soldiers, shepherds, wise men, angels, Mary, Joseph, or other Biblical characters. No speaking parts are required!
- Shift 1: 4-6:30pm
- Shift 2: 4:30-7pm
Hospitality Team
- Be a friendly face! Help keep the event clean and welcoming by clearing trash, wiping tables, emptying trash cans, and checking restrooms.
- Shift 1: 5-6pm
- Shift 2: 6-7:15pm
Nativity Walk Monitors
- Help protect the displayed nativity sets by reminding guests to stay behind the ropes and not touch the displays.
- Shift 1: 5-6pm
- Shift 2: 6-7:15pm
Animal Helpers
- Welcome guests and invite them to interact with the petting animals. Volunteers will work outside for 30 minutes, take a break indoors to warm up, and then return outside for another shift.
- Shift 1: 5-5:30pm; 6-6:30pm
- Shift 2: 5:30-6pm; 6:30-7pm
Traffic Team
- Help direct vehicles along the Living Nativity drive-through route.
- Shift 1: 4:45-5:30pm; 6-6:30pm
- Shift 2: 5:30-6pm; 6:30-7:15pm
Hello Team
- Greet guests and open doors for those entering the event.
- Shift 1: 4:45-6pm
- Shift 2: 6-7pm
Welcome Center Team
- Welcome guests, answer questions, and help direct people to the appropriate areas.
- Shift 1: 4:45-6pm
- Shift 2: 6-7pm
Craft Area Team
- Help oversee the craft area and make sure supplies are available for all the kids.
- Shift 1: 4:45-6pm
- Shift 2: 6-7pm
Special Music | 5-7pm
- Individuals or groups are invited to share their musical talents by providing Christmas music. Music will play in the background as guests enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, and time together.
Clean-Up Crew | 7-8pm
- Help clean up and put away event materials after the Living Nativity.
